Includem, a specialist charity supporting vulnerable young people and their families across Scotland, has today (7 November) announced that Martin Dorchester will become its new Chief Executive.
He will replace Angela Morgan who is moving on after leading the charity for ten years.
Martin Dorchester is currently Chief Executive of David MacBrayne Ltd and has been Managing Director of Calmac since 2012. He has been chair of Firstport which supports social enterprise and has been involved in a number of other charities.
Includem’s Chair, Jim Gibson said:
“The trustees and I would like to thank Angela for her dedication, service and hugely successful leadership of Includem throughout the last decade.
“Angela has made an enormous contribution over a long career to public policy and to the development and application of innovative and effective intervention models leading to proven improvements in the life chances of young people. We all wish her well in her retirement.
“We are delighted that Martin will be leading Includem forward and he brings a wealth of leadership experience from the private, public and third sectors.
“Martin’s track record and reputation is as an inspirational leader who operates with integrity, passion and commitment is well known throughout Scotland and we look forward to those skills being deployed in support of Includem’s mission and strategy.”
