Includem has been named as the joint Best Third Sector Employer in Scotland at the Family Friendly Working Scotland Awards.
Sharing our award with Young Enterprise Scotland, we were recognised for the flexible and family friendly working culture at Includem. The Awards celebrate progressive employers who support staff to happily combine home and work life.
Includem operates fully flexible working practices, with staff providing support for young people able to plan and manage their own shift patterns, including days off and working times. All staff are encouraged to work from a location that best suits their needs, supported by an IT system which is fully accessible from any location, including staff working from home.
Speaking after receiving the Award on behalf of Includem, Head of Corporate Services Michelle Nairn said:
Includem strives to be an employer of choice in the sector so this is great recognition to be awarded the joint winner of the Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Award – Best Third Sector Employer.
With the demands associated with weekend and evening working our workforce do have a great deal of autonomy and flexibility in how they work to support the needs of the young people and families. We are delighted to have received this recognition.
Minister for Childcare and Early Years Maree Todd, said:
I congratulate all the finalists of the Scottish Top Employers for Working Families Awards and especially the winners: it really is something to be proud of.
It is extremely positive to see so many of Scotland’s employers – both large and small – recognising the benefits of creating a family friendly workplace culture. Not only is it good for workers and families but it is also good for business and boosts productivity
The Scottish Government remains committed to working with employers to promote and support family friendly and flexible working, and we are proud to support, and work with, Family Friendly Working Scotland to continue to support employers and their employees.
