We were delighted to welcome Nicholas McDonald and representatives of the STV Appeal to Includem recently to receive a cheque for £50, sildenafil 000 in support of our innovative work in West Dunbartonshire.
Includem has joined up with the STV Children’s Appeal to deliver an innovative project for young people at risk of exclusion from school, or with poor attendance and engagement in the local area. Based on evidence showing success in Dundee and Glasgow, the West Dunbartonshire project will provide a personalised support package focused on strengthening relationships and overcoming the barriers to better inclusion at school. The project recognises the critical importance of what goes on beyond school hours for a young person’s development and aims to support the wider family with a holistic approach that seeks to improve every young person’s wellbeing.
Angela Morgan, Chief Executive, Includem, said:
“Includem is excited to be working with the STV Children’s Appeal on a new project supporting young people to better engage with school and to deal with the underlying causes of non-attendance and exclusion. Raising attainment is a priority for us all but for some young people actually getting to school and being ready to learn is a real struggle. With the support of the STV Children’s Appeal we will now be able to reach out with our personalised, one-to-one support for young people and their families when they need it most.”
