Stephen retired from Police Scotland in 2014 with the rank of Inspector having completed 30 years’ service. He has a varied career history with postings to Divisional CID, Force Drug Squad, Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) and Hostage and Crisis Negotiation Unit for Scotland (HCNUS).
From 2011 to 2013, while posted to the Police Safer Communities Department, Stephen was initially the operational lead for Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV) and latterly responsible for the Coordination of the multi-agency One Glasgow Reducing Offending Programme. During this period Stephen worked with partners, among them INCLUDEM, at operational, tactical and strategic level to prevent and reduce offending by children and young people from some of the most deprived areas of Glasgow.
Stephen lives in Cumbernauld with his wife, Louise.
