Transitional Support 1At Includem, we always remember that young people are tomorrow’s adults. And, of course, many will become parents themselves, with responsibility for bringing up the next generation. As far as possible, we want to give them the support they need to become independent, confident adults who can play a positive part in society.

This is why we strongly support young people and their parents or carers as they make the transition away from intensive support services.

Our transitions support helps young people aged 16-24 who have been involved in one of our other programmes previously. Our aim is to help them make a positive transition from adolescence into adulthood.

By working with other agencies, we try to increase young people’s employment and education opportunities. We also help young people to access services that they may not know about, such as housing providers, health, education and employment support services.

For more information, see our leaflet on supporting young people in transition.

In 2013, five young people from our Transitional Support service took part in a programme run by Young Enterprise Scotland – creating and running their own business, The Glesga Taste.
