News & Stories

We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

Dover House – An includem Thank You

On a warm summer evening in Central London, includem colleagues and invited guests gathered in Dover House – home of the Scotland Office in Westminster – with the kind permission of the Secretary of State for Scotland to celebrate 25 years of includem.

Guests heard from Kirsty McNeill MP, Parliamentary-Under Secretary of State for Scotland and from the event’s sponsor – Richard Baker, Member of Parliament for Glenrothes and Mid Fife. Both speakers reflected on the impact includem continues to have in transforming the lives of children, young people and families.

The event also provided the opportunity to officially launch our Beyond the Budget Report in Westminster and I had the privilege of raising our findings and recommendations and, most importantly, relay the powerful words left by the families we support with those who have the power to make a difference to their lives.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Dover House event and for the warm words they shared with us.

I know that my colleagues and I are looking forward to working more closely with those who attended to provide more support directly to communities across Scotland.

We also can’t wait to do it all again, right here in Scotland. Stay tuned for more on that soon!
