News & Stories

We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

Happy New Year!

Say hello to the new includem

We always want to make sure that we are best serving the children, young people and families and the communities we support and to make sure we are always listening to them, funders, and our stakeholders. This year marks our twenty-one year as an organisation. Twenty-one years of supporting children, young people and families across Scotland and after a year of monumental change, 2021 is the time to #buildbackbetter.

Following on from the launch of The Care Review, our sector has been looking at itself, acknowledging the change that needs to happen for children, young people and families we support, and we wanted to do our bit on how best we can play our part in the next twenty-one years.

So, last year, we have carried out our own review. Internally, building on our twenty years of experience, we asked ourselves who we are, what we do and where we are going? Externally, we reached out to the children, young people and families we support as well as our funders and stakeholders – like you – to get feedback on our work and what we could do to improve ourselves.  This brought us to this exciting day today.

The launch of the new includem.

We have refreshed our mission, values and principles statements as well as launching our new promise to those we work with which reaffirms our motivation and commitment to those we support going forward. Today, we also launch our brand-new website – bringing you all the information you need to know about our work in one place; from our services to our policy work – you can find it all on www.includem.org. Over the coming months and years, we will continue to develop and share new ways of communicating our story with those we support, our funders, and stakeholders – such as our newly launched Instagram profile.

We’ve also restructured how we work to better convey what we do with our key strands includem care, includem justice and includem education focussed on the work we do and with a fast response team in each of our regions we are able to respond to any crisis management situation.

We would love to hear from you on what you think of our new look and you can do this by completing this form here

If you would like to find out more about the services, we can provide or if you’d like to discuss any business development or partnership opportunities then please do get in touch. For now, I encourage you all to visit the new www.includem.org and to keep up to date with all things includem on Twitter @includem2000, Instagram @includem_ and on LinkedIn too.

I look forward to speaking to you throughout the year,

Martin
