We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

INCLUDEM APPOINTS NEW SERVICES DIRECTOR

As includem looks to celebrate 25 years of transforming the lives of children, young people and families across the country, the charity is thrilled to announce the appointment of Tracey Stewart as its new Services Director.

A former Residential Assistant Manager, Tracey has been with includem for over 20 years, rising from Project Worker to most recently one of includem’s Head of Services, overseeing new projects and programmes. In her new role, Tracey will oversee all services and projects within includem, as well as the development of new partnerships, projects, and funding.

As part of this new refreshed structure, Tracey will be supported by Claire Barton, who continues in the role of Head of Services and the recently appointed David Ferrier in the role of Head of Development.

Commenting on the changes to includem’s management team, Martin Dorchester, Chief Executive of includem said,

With includem shortly due to celebrate its 25th milestone, I am delighted to appoint Tracey to her role as Services Director.

“Over a number of years, Tracey has been pivotal to many key changes, but never once has she forgotten her roots as a Residential Assistant Manager – always ensuring children, young people and families are at the heart of our support. She truly is the first to roll up her sleeves to help.

“I am also thrilled that Tracey will be supported in her role by Claire and David, whose expertise in their fields will put Includem firmly on the path to success for years to come.”

On her appointment, Tracey Stewart added,

Every day, our services colleagues are working in some of the most deprived areas of Scotland, working with families who have mostly abandoned all hope that things will ever get better. We work hard to support them to transform their lives and to believe in a more positive future.

“I am excited and daunted to take up this role and know that the team are ready to rise to the challenge of ensuring every child, young person and family has a better life.”
