News & Stories

We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

Launch of The Big includem Birthday Appeal

For 25 years, includem has been supporting children, young people and families in the heart of communities across Scotland.

That’s twenty-five years of transforming lives!

To ensure includem continues to be there for children, young people and families, when they need it for the next twenty-five years, today we are launching The Big includem Birthday Appeal.

We have set ourselves the target of raising £250,000 over the next 12 months.

This target is ambitious, but necessary, and it matches our vision to ensure that every child, young person and family is respected, valued and has the opportunity to actively participate in all aspects of life and society.

And this is how you can show your support:

  • Donate £25 to our appeal and help support a young person at risk of exclusion.
  • Donate £50 and you can help us to provide families across Scotland with emergency support packages such as food parcels, clothing or even a safe space in times of crisis.
  • Donate £150 and help fund group workshops providing life skills and resilience to young people across Scotland.
  • Donate £500 and you can support an outreach project within a deprived community in Scotland.

Every penny raised is gratefully received and goes a long way in supporting our work.  To help us positively impact the lives of as many children, young people and families in Scotland as much as possible, please donate as much as you can and encourage your family, friends, colleagues or organisation to do the same.

We are also asking the private sector and others to consider partnering with includem in a number of ways – from choosing includem as their charity of the year, taking part in fundraising events or other forms of support, they can give us. Our team will be happy to discuss this with you.

You can find out more about our appeal at: https://includem.org/get-involved/bigincludembirthdayappeal/

On behalf of everyone at includem, the children, young people and families we work with, I want to thank you in advance for your support.

Together we can make a difference and transform lives!
