We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

Trustee Update

With the start of the new financial year, we can announce the following changes to our Board of Trustees:

  • After 16 years of service, Bruce Marks has stepped down from the Board. Bruce, our longest-serving Trustee, previously held a senior position at KPMG until his recent retirement.

  • Two new Trustees have joined the includem board:
    • Shaheen Baber KPM
    • Alan Hill

Iain Forbes OBE, Chair of Trustees said:

“I would like to thank Bruce Marks for his long service and contribution to includem over the last 16 years.

“Bruce’s experience, time and skills in which he brought to the board, will be truly missed, and on behalf of the board, I wish him well for his future and retirement.

“I am delighted that both Shaheen and Alan have joined the board, bringing their unique knowledge and experience, and I look forward to working with them.”

Shaheen Baber KPM, retired Senior Police Officer with nearly 30 years of service in Scotland, added:

“I’m honoured to join includem’s Board of Trustees. I believe a stronger society is built when we support one another through life’s challenges. Everyone deserves guidance and the chance to thrive—and I’m proud to help make that possible.”

Alan Hill, a retired Chartered Accountant, added:

“I am privileged to have been asked to join the board in this its 25th year.  I will strive to do all I can to support the includem vision of a world where every child and young person is respected, valued and has the opportunity to actively participate in all aspects of life and society – they all deserve nothing less.”
