Project Workers (2 posts) – North Lanarkshire Service

Contract:  Permanent in line with contract funding

Hours:  37 hours per week, including weekends and evenings

Salary:  £29,166 per year

What does the role involve?

This Service is supporting * Pre stage 1, 16 -19 year old school leavers or those within 6 months of leaving school who require intensive support to engage with employability services. Participants on the project are likely to have complex and multiple barriers all of which are preventing them from engaging in current provision.

The Project Worker will lead the provision of relationship-based support delivered to young people and families in the community, increase readiness for training and employment and promote other positive outcomes in line with the values and principles of includem.

With a focus on developing the skills and routines to support readiness for employability, the worker will manage their own caseload. The Project Worker will ensure support plans are developed with the young person to respond to their individual needs and support them to improve outcomes in line with the employability shared measurement framework, no wrong door principles and includem’s model of support.

The Project Worker will demonstrate leadership and ownership over effective service delivery to young people by managing outcomes for young people through use of line managers, colleagues, and organisational tools, processes, policies, and procedures.

All posts require individuals to:

  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the young people and families
  • Develop safe, professional and committed relationships with young people and families
  • Use their communication skills effectively to influence, record and evidence positive change and provide personalised, risk enabled, professional support
  • Be able to drive and have access to a car for work purposes
  • Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme (paid for by Includem)
  • To be registered or be willing to become registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and hold or be willing to work toward HNC Social Care and SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent (qualifications are fully funded by includem)
