We believe that all children and young people should have a voice. Behind every child or young person we work with there is a story, which they are best placed to tell. They might not have decided the beginning, or the middle, but they can re-write the ending.

includem donates £1000 to accelerate motorcycle appeal

FIRST POSTED ON JANUARY 22 2020 AT 14:27

Includem has donated £1000 from its own reserves to accelerate Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle Club’s fundraising appeal to replace their burnt-out hut.

The Club was targeted by fire raisers back in November leaving the club without a base to store equipment. Two huts and items including tools, tables, chairs and a portable toilet were destroyed in the blaze at their off-road course near Ballingry.

The group helps reduce illegal and anti-social use of off-road motorcycles by providing a circuit where young people can ride their vehicles safely and works with young people from disadvantaged areas.

We recently teamed up with the Club to coach seven young people we support in Fife through a six-week programme of training and practical activities in off-road motorbiking.

“We were really sorry to hear of the Club’s misfortune. We know what great work they do to support our young people and others in the area. We hope this modest contribution can help them on their way to raising the money they need to get fully up and running again,” said Kathleen Malcolm, our Team Manager in Fife.

Davie Paton, who runs Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle Club, said, “We really appreciate this donation from includem. Since the incident everyone in the area has been really supportive. Such a generous gesture will go a long way to help us reach our target and get the club back on a firm footing again.”
